CDI Management Solutions (CMS), founded in 2023 as a subsidiary of Child Development, Inc., develops software and services for organizations providing services under alternative payment program contracts, childcare centers, Head Start, schools and other programs serving children and families.

Since 1976 under the brand name “Choices for Children,” Child Development, Inc. has been assisting low-income families gain access to subsidized childcare services in both Santa Clara and Stanislaus counties. Throughout those decades much of the work the company did to benefit children and families was done using tedious, cumbersome, and manual processes.

Based on those years of experience CMS saw the opportunity to create superior solutions beyond what existed in the market and develop new solutions to address problems that weren't being addressed effectively. Other software development companies lacked the hands-on experience and detailed understanding of the challenges of managing Alternative Payment Program contracts and working with families and children. We had the expertise and knew we could leverage state-of the-art technology to create the tools needed to solve the problems organizations like Child Development (“Choices for Children”) faced. We’d been on the front lines and knew what was needed.

So, we set out to address the challenges of organizations serving children and families, determined to be more productive and efficient, with the ultimate goal to help better serve those in our communities and provide enhanced support for those critical community organizations.
Today CDI Management Systems offers a variety of different training and learning solutions, optimized to meet a wide variety of needs, including the CMS eLearning System, the CMS Training Portal and the CMS Learning Hub. We continue to identify challenges that organizations serving families and children face and leverage our years of expertise to develop new solutions to help support organizations serving California communities.
